Hugh Harahan

Hugh Harahan married Linda Lindhop at St Gabriel's Church Birmingham on 18th October 1908. They had one daughter Carol and were divorced 14.2.1916 (cited Creasy for adultery)

Hugh went to America with his elder brother John Patrick to try and find work. They returned and went to Sheffield and worked in the cutlery trade. Both he and Jack met and married two sisters.

Hugh married Ethel on 28th July 1917 in the Register Office Eccleshall. On the marriage certificate his 'rank or profession' is described as a 'cap and ferrule maker (journeyman)'. Ethel a spinster was a 'Bay Frame Maker'.

At the time he was living at 17 Sultan St, Brook Hill, Sheffield and she lived at 63 Asline Rd, Highfields, Sheffield.

Hugh was a manager at 'Mappin and Webs' and when he retired for a short while had his own cutlery business as a 'little mester'.

They had two children. James Willie born 29.5.1918 and Hugh born 17.11.1921

For many years they lived at 32 Priestly St, Heeley in Sheffield then Graves Park and then and later had an off license shop on Leadmill Rd.
